das tut gut:
Grasshoppers
Forget Real Madrid, AC Milan and Manchester United.
Story continues
If great names were rewarded with silverware, Grasshoppers would be the world's number one club.
The Swiss side - officially titled Grasshopper Club Zurich by natives - are Switzerland's most successful club, winning their domestic title a record 27 times, last clinching the championship in 2003.
They've also landed the Swiss FA Cup a record 18 times.
But, despite their unforgettable name, they've never managed to reach the final of a European competition despite playing almost 150 fixtures in the three major tournaments.
The club have two links with England. They were founded in 1886 by Tom E. Griffith, an English student, and were briefly managed by Roy Hodgson in the 1999/2000 season.
Twelve games into the current campaign, Grasshoppers are second in the Swiss first division with 23 points from 12 matches.
Nailing your colours: Are you Blackburn in disguise. Grasshoppers will be wearing their traditional Rover-esque blue'n'white halved shirts tomorrow night.
Grounds for complaints: In keeping with the Swiss predilection for cow bells, the club's 17,766-capacity Hardturm ground boasts a slightly bizarre, angular, bovine, byre-like roof on three sides.
Main man: Eduardo is a gifted Brazilian who was courted by four top German sides in the summer.
Journey so far: In the qualifying round, Polish club Plock were beaten 1-0 in Switzerland thanks to Eduardo's 68th minute strike. The Poles won the second-leg 3-2 but goals from Antonio and, once again, Eduardo, meant Grasshoppers progressed on away goals.
In round one, Veroljub Salatic was on target against Finnish side MyPa, who fought back to draw in the Hardturm Stadion. But Grasshoppers advanced impressively with a 3-0 win in Finland.
Euro pedigree: Grasshoppers have embarked on European campaigns over no less than 34 seasons, playing almost 150 ties in the UEFA Cup, Cup Winners Cup and European Cup.
